The Short-stay Business Visa allows business people to visit Australia for work reasons for up to 3 months to conduct business. It operates on the same conditions as the Australian Tourist Visa.
Examples of business activities include:
- Attending conferences;
- Negotiations; or
- Exploratory business visits.
Australia Visa is not including in acting, music performance or commercial filmmaking.
Visa Conditions
Short-stay business visitors to Australia must be willing and able to abide by the visa validity and conditions while in Australia. Your visa may be cancelled if you don’t follow these conditions
- The holder must not engage in work in Australia;
- In Australia the holder not engage more than 3 months, in any studies or training;
- If the holder is at least 11 years of age and:
- Is from a country other than a country that is designated, by Gazette Notice, as a country in relation to which this condition does not apply; and
- Intends to study in a class-room environment for a period greater than 4 weeks, they must, before commencing that study, pass a chest X-ray examination carried out by a medical practitioner who is qualified as a radiologist; and/or
- The holder will not, after entering Australia, be entitled to be granted a substantive visa, other than a protection visa, while the holder remains in Australia; and
- The holder must depart within the validity of the Visitor Visa.
Long-stay Business Visa
For longer stays, the Temporary Business Entry (Long Stay) Visa caters for business visits of up to 4 years for:
- Personnel (executives, managers and specialists) for companies operating in Australia;
- Personnel from offshore companies seeking to establish a branch in Australia, participate in joint ventures, or fulfill a contract awarded to an offshore company;
- Personnel coming under a labor or Invest Australia Supported Skills agreement.
So, the jobs in Australia are aplenty and consequently, people are applying for work visas in greater numbers. |
